Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ShuttleScorer (also styled ShuttleScore) is a badminton match-scoring mobile app, and shuttlescorer.comis its website. Both are operated by Vihaas Consultancy Services BV, a private limited company registered in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. The short version

• The app has no accounts and no sign-in. Your matches, players, tags and stats stay on your device — we never upload or see them.
• This website uses cookieless, aggregate analytics and sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
• We collect personal data only where we genuinely need to: to validate a Pro purchase, and — in the free app — to show ads.
• We do not sell your personal data.

3. The app: what stays on your device

ShuttleScorer does not require sign-in. The matches, players, tags, themes and statistics you create are stored only in the app’s local database on your device. We do not collect, upload, or have access to this match data.

4. The app: in-app purchase (Pro)

ShuttleScorer offers two Pro upgrade options, both processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• Annual subscription — renews automatically each year until cancelled
• Lifetime purchase — a one-time payment for permanent access

To unlock Pro and restore it after a reinstall or on a new device, the app generates a random, anonymous device identifier (a UUID stored on your device) and sends it — with the store purchase receipt and platform — to our backend to validate the purchase. We store only the device identifier, the store transaction ID, platform, product, purchase type and purchase status. This contains no name, email, or match data. Legal basis: performance of contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

For annual subscriptions, Apple or Google may notify our backend when a subscription renews or is cancelled. We use this solely to keep your Pro status accurate and never receive payment or billing details.

5. The app: live score sharing (Pro)

When a Pro user shares a match live, the current score and match snapshot (player names as entered, scores, and point tags) are sent to our server and relayed to whoever opens the link. This data is held in memory only for the duration of the match — it is not written to a database, and it is discarded when the match ends or the link expires. Share links are unguessable and are not listed or indexed anywhere. Legal basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).

6. The app: advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), approximate location and app-interaction data. By default we request non-personalized ads. In the EEA and UK, a consent prompt (Google’s User Messaging Platform) is shown when you first use the app, and you can review or change your choice at any time from the app’s Optionsscreen under “Privacy and ad choices”. Pro users see no ads.

For advertising, Google acts as an independent data controller — see Google’s partner policies at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where required, otherwise legitimate interest for non-personalized ads (Art. 6(1)(f)).

7. This website

This marketing website is a set of static pages. It has no login and no comment forms.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first andcookieless. It measures aggregate page views and performance without fingerprinting visitors or building cross-site profiles, and it sets no cookies. We cannot identify individual visitors from it.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) transiently; we do not use this to identify you.

Cookies

We set no advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

8. Third parties we work with

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

9. Children

ShuttleScorer is a general-audience scoring tool and is not directed at children under 16. Ads are non-personalized by default. Under Dutch law (UAVG) and Article 8 GDPR, processing the personal data of children under 16 requires verifiable parental or guardian consent; if we become aware we hold such data without consent, we will delete it promptly.

10. International data transfers

Some providers (e.g. Google, Cloudflare) may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of protection.

11. Data retention

• Pro validation data — kept while your Pro entitlement is active, so we can validate and restore it.
• Live-share data — held in memory only and discarded when the match ends or the link expires.
• Website analytics — aggregate only; no per-visitor records are retained.
• Match data — never leaves your device; you control it entirely.

12. Your rights

As an EU/EEA resident you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and to withdraw consent for advertising at any time via the app’s ad-choices setting. To exercise any of these, emailinfo@pickarally.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

13. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our backend is hosted within the EU and protected by network-level access controls, and we apply the principle of least privilege to internal access.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date, and — where appropriate — an in-app notice.
